Weston Weekend

Have you ever been to Weston? I had not until this past weekend. My roommates from college and I had a terrific weekend in Weston. It was Leslie's 30th birthday and her husband had us surprise her with a weekend away.
Saturday we awoke to a cold and rainy day, but that didn't stop us from getting mani's and pedi's. It was so much fun. I felt that we were in our living room getting treated.
We then shopped, had lunch at a great little restaurant and then did some wine tasting at the local winery. It was a much needed weekend away. Cell phone coverage was not the best, so I truly felt away from the world. I think I might like not having the phone on during a weekend more often. Maybe I will try it!
Well, I am super tired tonight, so off to bed I go. Once again another week with travel, but this time to St. Louis.

The great state of IA

I think I saw more of the state of Iowa than I have ever wanted to see in two days. No offense to Iowa, but when you are traveling by car with a business associate for client meetings, it is not what I would list as one of my top ten things to do in my lifetime. We headed to Sioux City IA Wednesday night, stayed at a C- hotel, that had a 30 year old comforter and I think mattress for that matter! Then headed to Sac City IA (where I got to see the Worlds Largest Ball of Popcorn, I kid you not--where was my camera!) then turned around and went to Holstein, IA. At 3:30 we headed back to KC. I arrived safely home around 9:30 p.m. last night.

I am now headed to Weston for a girl's weekend. While I am looking forward to it, I sure am missing being at home and being with my husband and cute little Pay't.

This weekend holds manicures, pedicures, wine tasting, shopping and some fun for us girls from college.
